The photograph to the left shows a conventional in-drain disposal area on a building site in North Yarmouth.  The property owner found the required mound to be unbearable and retained Aeration Systems to install an OxyPro 1000 Wastewater Treatment Unit with a sub-surface drip irrigation disposal area to solve this issue.

The combination of advanced treatment and subsurface drip irrigation was a newly accepted technology in Maine and its usefulness and versatility made it the perfect solution for this difficult site.  The design flexibility inherent in drip irrigation allowed the system designer to use every available square foot of space, even though the suitable area was triangular in shape.  The ability of the drip line to compensate for pressure differences also meant that the system could be placed in an area with compound slopes, thereby eliminating hundreds of yards of fill.  The installed cost of this system competes directly with conventional systems, and site disturbances are greatly reduced.  On top of it all, this great house will have a beautiful lawn to match.
